IRS, DOL and PBG C Plan Audits

Helping our clients remain compliant with all applicable IRS, DOL and PBGC laws and regulations affecting their employee benefit plans is a primary goal of our practice. However, the most fastidiously compliant plan sponsor may become subject to a plan audit. Receiving notice of an IRS or DOL audit concerning an employee benefit plan (retirement, health and welfare, executive compensation plans) or notice of PBGC insurance premiums can be rather disconcerting.

The services we can provide in this support role include:

• Facilitating and supporting clients during IRS, DOL, or PBGC audit meetings
• Handling all correspondence, phone calls, and contact with the IRS, DOL, or PBGC
• Drafting written responses to legal issues raised by the IRS, DOL, or PBGC
• Negotiating closing agreements in resolution of the audit
